Champions of Mentoring

Collaborating with our partners on projects and initiatives is one of the most important ways MENTOR Washington supports the statewide mentoring community. We are continually grateful for their support and contributions to youth mentoring in Washington!

Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families

Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) represents the public part of the public/private partnership that makes up MENTOR Washington. Our partnership with DCYF and former Lieutenant Governor Brad Owen allows MW to effectively advocate for mentoring among the state agencies and legislators. Tom Pennella, MW’s Partnership Director, is an executive-on-loan from DCYF and serves on MW’s Board of Directors.

Costco Wholesale

Costco’s Charitable Contributions Committee provides essential annual operations support to MW. Barry Willis, Employment Development, HR Administration, Diversity & Inclusion serves on MW’s Board of Directors and Claude Green, MW’s Corporate Engagement Director, is an executive-on-loan from Costco.

College Success Foundation

College Success Foundation (CSF) was critical to the expansion of MENTOR Washington in 2004 and remains one of our strongest partners. The mission of CSF to provide college scholarships and mentoring to low-income, high-potential students aligns closely with our own mission and the mentoring movement. We work closely to provide the mentoring support needed for the CSF scholarship recipients to be successful. Juliette Schindler Kelly, Director of Government Relations and Advocacy serves on MW’s Board of Directors.
